HEPGAME was a research project for High Energy Physics and Game playing algorithms. It ran from 2013-2018, combining research on formula manipulation for solving high energy physics equations with combinatorial optimization algorithms from artificial intelligence. The work was done by Nikhef (PI Jos Vermaseren, the father of FORM, Franz Herzog, Mathias Ritzmann, Takahiro Ueda) and LIACS (Aske Plaat, Jaap van den Herik, Ben Ruijl, Ali Mirsoleimani). HEPGAME was funded by an ERC-Advanced grant.
Algorithms and Software are part of FORM.
